Honoring Celeste’s Retirement

Date

Dear friends of the House of Hope Community,

Where do I begin? It has been a privilege, honor, and pleasure to serve as the Executive Director at House of Hope for these last three years and as the Development Director for 11 years prior.

Working in partnership with the Board of Directors, Staff, and supporting members, we have achieved many accomplishments during our time together and I’m extremely grateful for each and every one of you! I feel as though I have had a gift handed to me and it isn’t one many get to experience in their lifetime.

Please know how much you all mean to me personally and professionally! IT TAKES a TRIBE to run this nonprofit and you- we-me have hurdled in ways I have never known to be possible. Thank you for sharing this journey with me! Thank you, Jesus, for leading our path and God for showing up and showing off in your magnificent ways! I’m truly honored to be able to serve in the gap for your Glory!

I could not conclude this letter without mentioning my family who has supported me emotionally, financially, and in so many ways over the years. When one works with a nonprofit, they become part of the journey and my family along with ALL of my extended family and friends have certainly done that. My husband viewed my journey here as our journey and has been just as invested as I have been. My son and his wife have also been a part of this journey, helping out in various ways. Thank you… thank you for your love and sacrificial support!

The accomplishments made are far too many to mention but the most recent would be overcoming together as a team with some major obstacles (good and hard) thrown in our path. Derecho. Pandemic. Remodel of the Carriage House.

Now I don’t feel I would be doing a great service if I didn’t put out an appeal to PLEASE prayerfully consider giving to the House as a token to my retirement. I have asked to not have a celebration party but instead, I’m asking that I leave knowing the ministry is supported with a monthly, one-time gift, or a legacy gift. We are breaking into a new season and it is so important that the community continues to support the ministry so we can continue to fulfill HIS calling here at House of Hope.

Many blessings to all of you and I will be around still cheering on the #DreamTeam!

Celeste Jaquis, Executive Director
